I am a licensed psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Cary, NC, with over 23 years of experience. I received training through the William Alanson White Institute in NYC and the International Psychotherapy Institute in MD. I have also received training in psychophysiological disorders with Howard Schubiner, MD, and Frances Sommer Anderson, Ph.D. I believe all people heal differently, so I work with patients to find a personalized approach to problems with chronic dizziness, balance, and other vestibular issues. I also help those with chronic pain and/or other medically unexplained symptoms. Many of these conditions are temporary and reversible with proper treatment, support, patience, and kindness for yourself. Having personally recovered from a vestibular disorder, I am empathic to the suffering caused by chronic somatic symptoms. I am also a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and work with various bodily-based concerns.
