Erik Bohlin, MA is a licensed counselor in Washington and Idaho and has been in private practice and has been counseling and coaching for 25+ years. His personal experience as a PPD suffer drove him to seek out solutions to learn how to express his feelings better, develop better boundaries around self-care and resolve childhood trauma. Erik works with chronic pain, addiction, trauma and anxiety. Erik uses principles from NLP, Ericksonian Hypnosis and Neurofeedback. He received training with Dr. Howard Schubiner, Alan Gordon, MSW, and Hal Greenham, BSc. In working with chronic pain sufferers, Erik likes to use a number of approaches: Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), Internal Family Systems and is certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy through the Pain Psychology Clinic (Alan Gordon). He believes that through expressive writing, somatic tracking and do internal parts work, the client can begin to see the link between their pain and their emotions. He is both certified as Nationally Certified Counselor (NBCC) as well as a Master's Addiction Counselor (NAADAC).
