Jaime Henle is a licensed psychologist and provides individual therapy for adolescents and adults (aged 13 and up). She specializes in trauma and chronic pain. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which are both evidenced based treatments for trauma. She utilizes the mind-body work of John Sarno, MD and Nicole Sachs, LCSW and completed the Sarno Sachs Solution Practitioner training. Their work believes that your brain and nervous system create pain symptoms in order to aid in the repression of unconscious thoughts and feelings. The goal of this work is to express repressed emotions which will help your nervous system go from fight or flight to rest and repair. Dr. Henle specializes in: trauma and bereavement (physical, sexual and verbal abuse, and neglect), attachment issues, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, body image concerns, adjustment issues, substance abuse disorders). Dr. Henle also wrote and illustrated five children’s books, one of which relates to mind-body work: Why Does my Body Hurt?
