Nicole completed her Physiotherapy degree in 2004 and developed an interest in pain early in her career as a neurological physiotherapist. Since 2012 Nicole has dedicated her practice to the lived experience of persistent pain and in 2018 was awarded a titled membership with the Australian College of Physiotherapists in pain management. As a Senior Mindfulness Facilitator Nicole’s practice is dedicated to both the science and experience of the Mindbody connection, specifically the interface between pain and suffering and the arising potential for insight and growth.
Nicole's sessions employ a range of powerful tools, including, but not limited to, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT), Emotional Awareness and Expression therapy (EAET), and insights from Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). The primary goal is to facilitate self-discovery while nurturing safety, agency, and discernment, ultimately empowering individuals to reclaim control over their bodies and lives. Central to the therapeutic process is a strong foundation of connection, fostered through open communication, transparency, understanding, and acceptance. The exploration of emotions is done with a sense of playfulness and consent, allowing both therapist and client to embrace the intricacies of the human experience. Together, they confront challenges head-on, openly acknowledging and addressing the obstacles that arise. Nicole's mission is to guide clients beyond their pain, providing them with the tools needed to reengage with life fully.
